The Witch in the Water

Deep within the Bohemian Forest lies Black Lake, its surface a mirror of shifting shadows. It is the largest glacial lake in the Czech Republic, but few dare to swim in its depths. The locals say the water is too dark, too still—whispering that something ancient stirs beneath.

Long ago, a woman lived in the forest, rumored to be a witch. She spoke to the trees, called storms from the sky, and her enemies always met untimely ends. Fearing her power, the villagers took her on a night of no moon. They dragged her to the lake’s edge, bound her in chains, and threw her into the abyss.

But she did not drown.

Instead, Black Lake took her in, and she became part of its dark, endless depths. Now, those who swim alone tell of an unnatural cold creeping over their skin, of an unseen force pulling them down. Some escape with frantic gasps, clutching at the shore. Others vanish without a trace, their absence swallowed by the water’s silence.

They say the witch waits there, unseen, lurking just below the surface. If you feel the lake tighten around you, if the stillness becomes too deep— Do not look down.

I was also going to say that this looks like a movie poster, or the cover to a horror novel.
